Awesome fishing rod, even better service from fishheadscanada.net!
Posted by Steve on 2nd Nov 2023
Very light and a joy to use for long sessions, but with enough backbone to bring in springs with no problem. It is my first Raven rod, but certainly will not be my last! Great customer service as well from fishheadscanada.net, with prompt responses.

Chinook tamer
Posted by Average Ontario Anglers on 1st Oct 2019
This rod is a beast tamer. Plenty of power to whip big chinook in current. Used it this season for salmon, plenty of fish with it plus many big carp in the spring on this rod. If you centerpin fish for salmon this rod is for you. A tad heavy in the hand but thats to be expected at this price point, the build quality is great, no complaints at all. Excellent value.

Great Pacific NW Rod!
Posted by gsanders on 26th Oct 2016
I have only taken it out once so far, but this seems like it will be a great rod for the Pacific NW to use on either steelhead or salmon. This is my first center pin rod, but I have quite a few fly and spinning rods. This rod seems a little light for big salmon, but it has plenty of backbone if you can play the salmon and stay patient. I got it primarily for steelhead and it will be a great steelhead rod. Casts well, well balanced with a Raven Helix reel, and all the components seem of high quality. The rod has a matte finish and it looks really nice.
